Texas Thespians are excited to invite you as a teaching guest artist at our State conference November 15-17, 2017 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine!
Workshop registration opens August 1, 2017. Once we have all requests, we will begin to build our workshop schedule, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, so be sure to get all requests in no later than September 30, the FINAL deadline.
Confirmation of workshop times and schedules will be sent out no later than October 27, 2017. On this date any changes or modifications are subject to the cancellation policy below.
As a reminder: To create as much variety as possible, we do not present the same workshop more than 3 or 4 times.
If you want to teach a full weekend, you will need to submit multiple forms and titles.
Please know that we will help you create the most enticing workshop titles, if need be. We want your workshops to be well-attended!
Texas Thespians use the following fee structure to determine compensation for Guest Artists:
Tier I: Presenters cover their own travel and hotel expenses, but will receive meal vouchers based on the number of sessions taught and time frames. Each workshop will be paid $50.00.
Tier II:These presenters will receive up to two (2) nights hotel expense OR up to $300 in travel expenses, and meal vouchers based on the number of sessions taught and time frames.
Tier III: These presenters receive hotel room, up to $400.00 in travel expenses and meal vouchers based on the number of sessions taught and time frames.
Vendor: These presenters receive a free booth for the convention in exchange for teaching 4 (four) workshops. Vendor presented workshops will be taught Throughout the festival. Please plan booth coverage if necessary.

Note: All Tier II and Tier III guest artists that are choosing the paid travel option must submit their birth date and preferred departure city/airport.

Consent & Acceptance Form
Every guest artist is required to fill out and bring a Consent & Acceptance Form to place behind your name tag for medical emergencies.
Cancellations by Tier II or III:
Guest Artists who (for personal or professional reasons) must cancel, must do so in writing by sending an email to Troy Menn and agrees to reimburse Texas Thespians within two (2) weeks of cancellation date for the cost of airfare plus the $30 surcharge (ticketing fee).
Cancellations by Tier I and Vendor/University representatives:
Guest Artists who (for personal or professional reasons) must cancel, must do so in writing by sending an email to Troy Menn no later than November 1, 2017.
After this date you agree to reimburse Texas Thespians within two weeks of cancellation date a $75.00 rescheduling fee.
