COSTUME DESIGN
A school can only enter one (1) team per design category. A design team should consist of 1-4 students. The team will be adjudicated as a whole, with each design receiving a certain score. Create an original costume design for TWO CHARACTERS given the prompt, released September 1. The team should create a complete design including: research, script/text justification, initial sketch, rendering, and complete/final design rendering. They should present all designs and research on a trifold board, standard poster, or in book/portfolio form. We ask that digital presentations be printed for judging on-site. The team will be adjudicated as a whole, with each design receiving a certain score. Designs will be judged on creativity and depiction of author’s intent. HAIR & MAKEUP DESIGN A school can only enter one (1) team per design category. A design team should consist of 1-4 students. POSTER DESIGN A school can only enter one (1) team per design category. A design team should consist of 1-4 students. The team will be adjudicated as a whole, with each design receiving a certain score. Create an original poster design and playbill for for the prompt, released on September 1. The team should create a complete design including: research, script/text justification, initial sketch, rendering, and complete/final design rendering. Students should use standard poster-size poster board or print a standard poster after creating a digital design. Design must include: the title of selected show, playwright, music & lyrics , proposed show dates, the name of the group performing, location of performance, show times and ticket prices. Be sure the school is clearly marked on the back. Designs will be judged on creativity and depiction of author’s intent. |
