The Texas Thespians Chapter is proud to announce the Texas Thespians Premiere Communities for Theatre Education!
​
This program recognizes and honors school districts that provide their theatre programs with the resources to achieve at above standard, as rooted in the Educational Theatre Association's Opportunity to Learn Standards, Texas Theatre Knowledge & Skills for Fine Arts (TEKS), and support of Thespian Troupe involvement.

Recipients of the distinction will be contacted in January 2023 and will receive promotional assets which include:

Social Media Graphics

The Texas Thespians Premiere Communities for Theatre Education distinction is a one year recognition. Each year, school districts must re-apply and submit documentation to ensure continuing adherence to the qualifications of the distinction.
A district representative will require access to the following information in order to complete the application:
  • District Classification
  • Theatre Curriculum & Scheduling
  • Master Schedules and Curriculum samples
  • Theatre Staffing
  • List of theatre staff and years of service for each campus
  • List of all theatre courses offered for each grade level
  • List of all theatre staff and professional development offered
  • Literary Resources
  • Technology Access
  • Production Elements
  • Theatre Safety
  • Facilities
  • Troupe Engagement​
