Texas Thespians Recommendations for
Reopening Theatre Classrooms and Facilities
Dear Texas Educator,
Texas Thespians, an affiliate of the Educational Theatre Association, is pleased to share our recommendations for reopening our theatre classrooms and facilities. The Educational Theatre Association is the national voice for advocacy in theatre classrooms across the nation, as well as the home for the International Thespian Society, the honor organization for theatre students.
The Texas Thespians board of directors and members represent independent school districts, private and charter schools, from 1A to 6A districts. We realize that every theatre program is unique, and that each school has its own opportunities and challenges. With that in mind, we offer what we consider to be best practices during this unprecedented time in history.

** We are aware that TEA and CDC guidelines are primary in any and all decisions made for each district. Administrators will proceed with plans and protocols that are appropriate for their setting, regardless of the recommendations presented.
