The All State Musical will cast and crew will master vocals and choreography directly from Broadway directors and choreographers in an all new performance for the 2026 festivals only. The All State Play cast and crew will rehearse and perform a brand-new, 30-minute production under the expert guidance of seasoned directors from across the state.​

​The students cast in our All State Musical and All State Play shows will have the opportunity to be directed by world class directors and professionals, to work with Thespians from around the State of Texas and will get to perform in front of thousands of Texas Thespian State Festival attendees.

Student technicians will also participate in the production through the areas of sound & microphone operators, lighting designers and lightboard operators  and production management.

How to Audition

1. Sign up in registration for the audition ($20 fee per student). This fee is non-refundable, even if not selected to perform in the cast.
2. Submit your audition materials by October 5, 2026 if you want to be considered for a speaking role or a solo in either production. All applications, including technican applications, must be submitted by October 19, 2026. 
3. All selected students must attend pre-festival zooms on  Sunday, Oct 25th from 7-10pm (All students and *their High School teachers* must attend) and  Nov 1 and Nov 10 from 7-10pm (all students must attend).
4. Students who are cast (performers and technicans) must  be available for ALL OF THE SCHEDULED REHEARSALS including the pre-festival rehearsals (on Google Meet) as well as all in-person rehearsals at State Festival.
