We are offering an additional opportunity for students to qualify for Nationals and compete in Non-Qualifying events. 

This opportunity is open to High School and Junior High/Middle School Thespians. 


Virtual Competitions
$20 for Thespy’s and Competitions 
$200 opt out fee, if you don’t want to judge.
Judging completed by February 7th, 2025

​Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Can high school students enter Thespys/Auditions that didn't attend State Festival?  
Yes, anyone can enter. 

​2. Can students enter multiple Thespys events?  Yes, students can enter multiple events. Please note you are only able to compete in each event once at the National level. 

3. Can students enter two entries in the same category?  No, student are only allowed one entry per category. 

4. Can students that qualified at Festival enter additional events?  Absolutely. 

5. Do Troupe Directors need to register students?  Yes, students can not register themselves, Directors need to register all students from their campus. 

6. Can students that attended State Festival re-submit their entry into virtual? Yes, absolutely. 

7. What's the deadline for Payment? Monday, January 13, 2025

College Auditions

.We are offering an additional opportunity for students to audition for Colleges and Universities for the Spring 2024.

Step 1
Register  by clicking the link below. Once you register, you will be sent the link to upload your audition material. 


Step 2 
Select your Audition area of interest - You may only select 1 audition type for submission: 
Performance, Technical, or Educator.

Step 3
Prepare your audition material based off of your audition type and review prior to submission:


Performance - Combined 2 Minute Upload MAX! - URL or Video Format accepted
  • Acting - 2 contrasting monologues - not to exceed 2 min.
  • Musical - 1 monologue and 1 musical number - not to exceed 2 min. Accompaniment cannot contain vocals. 

Technical  - URL or Video Format accepted 
State your area of Technical Interest.
1 minute video highlighting two of your best technical works.
Portfolio submission highlighting 3 of your best works. (See PDF Example).


Educator - URL or Video Format accepted 
90 sec video Introducing yourself and tell us:
Who or What inspired you to become a teacher and why do you want to pursue education?
15 slide presentation of your high school work (See PDF Example).

Submit your items by January 12th, at midnight.  LATE entries will NOT be accepted.

Sit back and wait for the plethora of call backs! College Adjudication will begin January 13th and run through the Spring.

Texas Thespians will be offering a Career Fair for all Seniors to participate in during State Festival. 

$0 registration fee, per category

What is Career Fair? 
  • Looking for a start to your career?
  • Looking for a summer job?
  • Looking for a part-time job during college?

Must be a senior currently and willing to complete the online application with video submission.

Five Categories to choose from:
  • Performance - 2 contrasting monologues not to exceed 2 minutes
  • Vocal Performance - 2 contrasting vocal performances not to exceed 2 min.
  • Technical - URL or Video Format accepted Include your area of technical interest, a 1 minute video highlighting 2 of your best technical works and a portfolio submission highlighting 3 of your best works.
  • Dance - 2 performances of different style not to exceed 2 minutes.
  • Musical Instrument - up to 2 performances of different styles not to exceed 2 minutes.

$25 registration fee, per cateogry.
