2024 Troupe Day Student Schedule

Join us for a fun filled day of learning and collaboration! All Troupes are welcome to attend!

​There is no limit to the number of attendees you may have! 
  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM - Check-in
  • 8:15 AM - 8:45 AM - Gold Honor Troupe Breakfast Grab and Go
  • 9:00 AM - 9:25 AM: Opening Ceremonies
  • 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Workshop Session 1 & New/Returning Leadership Training
  • 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM: Workshop Session 2 & Advanced Leadership Training 
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch/Troupe Time (On Your Own) 
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Workshop Session 3 & Leadership Application/Events/Awards 
  • 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM: Workshop Session 4
  • 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Closing Ceremonies

2024 Officer Training 

$50 per troupe registration fee and includes Training specific courses at Troupe Day and quarterly virtual meeting during the school year. 
Refine the fundamentals of effective meeting management and student-led programming with this year's theme "Back to Basics" during our Officer Training at Troupe Days!

We are excited to introduce advanced development training for returning troupe members and second-term leaders through a comprehensive two-track program. In track one, returning leaders will leverage their past experiences to elevate their skills to new heights. For new leaders, we are committed to providing a seamless integration into our leadership community. Through tailored training sessions and collaborative sharing, we aim to ensure a successful and fulfilling year for all troupes.

Teacher Professional Development

Teacher who attend Texas Thespians Troupe Day will receive 6 hours of Professional Development credit!

​This includes workshops each session geared toward educators who wish to grow their program and learn best practices for operating a Thespian Troupe.

Troupe Day Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to have a Troupe to attend? 
NO! Any Junior High or High School theatre program may attend!

Are meals included?
No! Schools may bring lunch or purchase concessions from the host booster club.  

Do Directors have to stay the whole time? 
Yes! Please join us for special director sessions, which may count for PD.

Does each attendee need a consent & acceptance form?  
Yes! Anyone attending will need to submit a consent & acceptance form.

Do students need to bring additional funds? 
Yes! Texas Thespian Swag Store and concessions will be available throughout the day. Cash, card, or digital payments are accepted.
