Amy Jordan has served as Texas Thespians Chapter Director since 2012. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama, with an emphasis in Stage Management and Design where she also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatrical Design and Theatre Education from Texas Woman’s University. Before beginning her 20-year career at Denison High School in 2001, Amy spent two years as an Actors Equity Stage Manager in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. She serves as the Stage Supervisor for State UIL One Act Play, a UIL One Act Play and Theatrical Design Judge, and Clinician each year. Amy was named Executive Director in 2021, and with the Executive Governing Board and Staff, continues to innovate, plan and implement growth and programming of Texas Thespians.

BK Goodman

BK Goodman received his Bachelors degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and his Masters in Theatre from Texas A&M University-Commerce. BK has served as President, Vice President, State Festival Director and Operations Chair, among many other positions for Texas Thespians. He has taught theater, directed plays, and served as tech director for the past 15 years at the high school level. His passion for serving students is fueled by his desire to create multiple opportunities for Thespians throughout the state of Texas. BK looks forward to providing full-time support to Texas Thespians as Director of Operations, as the organization continues to evolve and grow.

Carla Schumann is excited to join the Texas Thespians family following thirty-three years in educational theatre, both as a high school theatre teacher and most recently as the Director of Fine Arts for the Comal School District. Currently, Carla holds the office of Communication Director Elect on the board of the Texas Theatre Adjudicator’s Organization. She also serves as a member of the UIL Advisory Committee and Texas Cultural Trust Arts Education Task Force. Beneath the UIL One-Act-Play umbrella, Carla very much values her roles as adjudicator, clinician, and contest manager. She believes in creating strong relationships with those in the community and strives to be a trusted leader. Her career long goal is to promote quality public education and advocate for the arts. She is enthusiastic about continuing that mission with Texas Thespians.

As a two-decade hospitality industry veteran, Jennifer Haisten's vast experience in the industry has led her to Association Management, where Jennifer oversees Times10 Association Strategies. Jennifer understands the work ethic needed to make a successful partnership between herself and her clients and thrives on her client’s mission based successes. Jennifer is a reliable, knowledgeable meeting professional who believes, loyalty, commitment to detail and tireless execution will provide her clients a hassle free experience. Jennifer’s present and past industry involvement is with that of PCMA, & ASAE, SITE and the AMCI. Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling and volunteering and supporting any project with a focus on physical fitness for all ages and organizations who support first responders and the military.
