On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I'd like to personally thank you for becoming a part of Texas Thespians. Welcome to an exciting and inviting group of theatre directors, students, and artists who are dedicated to leading you and your troupe toward success and growth.
On this website, you will be able to find information for all of your troupe and festival needs. Start with the Troupe Directors andTroupe Resources pages to find resources to help you throughout the year.
We want to see YOU at the Texas Thespian State Festival on November 21-23 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. Be sure to check out our State Festivalpage for important information on how to get your troupe to the Texas Thespian festival!
This year we are rolling out monthly newsletters that will give easy access to upcoming dates & deadlines, information on fundraising for festival, and much, much more! Check back soon for our 1st edition in August.
Need to find more information on troupe business like how to record and organize Thespian points, how to pitch starting a Thespian Troupe to your administrators, or taking your troupe to the International Thespian Festival? Visit the International Thespian Society web page for more information.
Your students can also participate in Leadership Conferencesacross the state which aim to build thespian leaders with tips on how to lead their troupes to success. Directors can also earn 4 professional development hours for only $25 while your Thespian Officers are in session! You can discuss topics such as:
How to register for Festival
Fundraising for A Purpose
Running your Program
Running your Troupe
Technology on a Budget
Costuming on Budget
EDTA tools that are useful
Registration is still open for conferences in August 2019.
The best way to stay connected and find out information first was to become a volunteer for Texas Thespians. We would love for you to volunteer with us! Click here and we will get back with you: volunteer form.
Finally, make plans now to attend ourEducator's Conference! This will be a time for you to attend workshops, earn TEA approved Continuing Professional Education and to network with other directors throughout the State. Our intimate setting will allow you more one-on-one time with Special Guests, speakers, and Texas Thespian Board Members. Hope to see you there!
Please come by the New Directors table at the Texas Thespian Festival in November and we will be eager to help you and excited to meet you! Please feel free to contact me with anyquestions you may have.
