General Competition Information
National Qualifying Events
Information for all Solo, Duet, and Group events.
This includes Acting and Musical Thespys. Troupes can only enter 15 "live" National Qualifying Thespy entries at State Festival. Short Film and Playwriting do not count in the 15 total allowed. Technical Thespys
Information for the following National Events:
Costume Construction, Costume Design, Makeup Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, Marketing Design, Scenic Design, Prop Design, Short Film,Playwriting, and Stage Management. Texas Thespians will offer virtual competitions starting November 30, 2026- February 5, 2027
Delegates who do not Qualify for Nationals at a Festival may resubmit their Thespy for evaluation. Delegates may also submit a second Thespy event using the virtual option. |
