What is Leadership Academy?

The Leadership Academy is a year-long training program for  the developed troupe, the struggling troupe, and the troupe that is transitioning to new leadership.

Troupes are provided opportunities to learn “Best Practices” through supplemental information and guides shared online throughout the year.

Troupes around Texas participate in both the Leadership Days and Texas Thespian Leadership Academy, which develops leadership skills, improves troupe dynamics, and teaches Troupe Officers how to advocate for Theatre in their schools and communities.

Those troupes who attain Honor Troupe status are awarded a plaque and a banner and are featured in social media.

Join the Leadership Academy and take your troupe to new heights!
We are excited to share our Leadership Workday with you and your students to help set up your student leaders for success this coming year!

Price:
The cost to participate in the entire year of the Academy is $125 per troupe.

Details:
Leadership Academy is a year-long program for developing and maintaining student leadership in your troupe and  leads toward additional recognition as an Honor Troupe of Texas for you and your students.  We use a series of Zoom calls and Google Classroom to assign troupe activities that showcase your students and move toward this recognition. More details will be provided at Leadership Day and www.texasthespians.org in mid-August, but we know that you do not want to miss out on this amazing opportunity.

Lunches:
For those attending our Leadership Day, lunches may be purchased for $10 per person. Leadership t-shirts may be purchased for students and teachers at $15 per person, and we will have Thespian swag through our store if your students are interested in more Texas Thespian Gear.  We are really excited about our opportunities as we continue to grow and share best practices to help all of the troupes in Texas shine!
